This listing is for a lovely little pair of handmade recycled glass stud earrings in green with flecks of 24 carat gold leaf.
These studs are special, instead of our usual glass base, these used to be a whisky bottle! We break up the bottle and melt the glass down bit by bit. The earrings are then made in a torch flame and carefully annealed in a kiln overnight.
As they are handmade, the size of glass varies between 5 and 6mm, but is consistent within the pairs.
The backs are surgical steel which is hypo-allergenic. The steel backs are fused into the glass while it is still hot, so no glue.
These earrings would be perfect to complement an outfit or as a little gift to someone.
